The Living Faith Church of the Nazarene, Coffeyville First Nazarene and Independence First Church of the Nazarene are working together to raise funds and send teams of people to help the Good Living Ranch church that was birthed three years ago with a showing of the Jesus film.
Located west of Belmopan, Belize, the Good Living Ranch Church began meeting on the front porch of a store/home. Though there are many churches in Belize there were none in the village of Calamote at that time. The group has grown from its original 11 people to over 70 in three years. They are now meeting in a bamboo structure across the street from the original location. Pastor Irving Thimbriel leads the church.
The three south east Kansas churches sent a team of 12 to Belize in June 2014. During that time the team built 5 new benches for the church. A cement foundation had been laid for another structure with supports for walls and a roof. The team put a roof on the structure and installed framing for walls.
Since the team was there, using funds that the team brought with them, the church has now been able to build a much needed bathroom facility.
Pastor Thimbriel and his wife, Holdette have a God-sized vision for what God will do in the area. Among other things they hope to provide an after-school program at the church to help children with school work and give them a healthy environment to come to after their classes each day.
Areas of concern now are:
• a 15-passenger van
• computers for the after school program
Please pray that these needs would be met and contribute funds toward these needs as the Lord provides.
