Children are special to us!!
At First Church, we seek to surround your child with lots of love and the knowledge of our Lord. In all children's groups, curriculum and activities appropriate for the age level are used to help our children grow spiritually, as well as mentally, socially and physically.

Our desire is that children not only learn about Jesus Christ, but that they come to know Him as personal Savior.

Nursery Ministries
Free child care is available for children (birth through age three) during all regular services and most extra activities. Our nursery is staffed by parents who serve as trained volunteers in an environment conducive to the child's physical, spiritual and social growth.

Children's Church
A real treat is in store for your children if they choose to attend the Children's Church that is available during the Sunday morning worship service time! For children in grades one through five we have a place in Bryant Hall where you will find delightful and creative methods to capture your children's interest and teach truths in a way they will not forget.
Children's Choir
Music is a very important part of a child's life. It is an opportunity to worship God in song while ministering to others and developing talents to be used of God.

All those in grades one through six are encouraged to come and join "Joyful Noise!"

Caravans 
Caravans is offered each Wednesday night during the school year, and is designed to promote spiritual, mental, physical and social development in children age pre-kindergarten through grade six. Sessions are held in a "scouting" format, allowing children to move at their own pace in an informal setting, while earning badges and awards.

 

Bible Quizzing
 This weekly program meets throughout the school year and involves in-depth Bible study with multiple-choice questions and memorization. Year by year, the study rotates through the books of Genesis, Exodus, Matthew and Acts. The "Quiz Kids" participate in several invitational quizzes, as well as Zone and District competition. The program is open to those in the first through sixth grades.

Vacation Bible School
For one week each summer, an intensified time of Bible study, memorization, crafts, games, worship, singing and more is offered for all children ages three and up.
